The Opposition party of Somaliland, Ucid has stoutly denied Bihi’s plans to reinstitute talks with Somalia, claiming he has no mandate to represent the country and the people. The chairman of Ucid party Feisal Ali Waraabe said in a twitter post that Bihi only represents his Kulmiye party.
Expounding his plans if President Bihi decides to attend the talks. Feisal Ali Waraabe stated that Somaliland will deem negotiations with him as invalid and interference in its internal affairs. Bihi and his administration has not yet commented on the objection of the opposition party.
Somaliland opposition parties announced Bihi and his cabinet ministers as “Illegitimate” referring that his official mandate ended on 13th November and accused him of failing to hold the Presidential election on its scheduled time.
