The second waddani party General Assembly convention has been held today in Hargeisa. The theme of this convention is National cohesion and fair distribution of national resources.
During the event, Abdiqadir Jirde was appointed to chair the committe while other fifteen candidates for key party leadership positions were also announced. They include Hersie Ali Haji Abdi as the chairman and khadar Hussein Abdi as the secretary general.
Defectors from the ruling kulmiye party have also been officially welcomed .
