The Women’s wing of Somaliland’s main opposition party Waddani, has commemorated the international women’s day, by distributing water tanks in drought stricken areas of the country.
During the exercise, they emphasized that their aim is to extend support to the internally displaced people who were affected by droughts. They also encouraged the public to follow suit.
Meanwhile, some of the beneficiaries have expressed their gratitude to the women’s wing of Waddani party and appreciated their support in hard times. They also demanded the government to support them.
Waddani party leader who attended the women’s forum extended his gratitude to the women for their key role in the party’s progress.
