Two Yemeni nationals have been confirmed dead and two others sustained severe injuries in a car accident on the outskirts of Gabiley town which is around 58 KM west of Hargeisa, Somaliland.
These two Yemenis who died in the car accident are believed to be among the foreign workers in Somaliland. The wounded were also rushed to the general hospital of Gabiley for treatment. Initial reports say, security forces came at the scene to rescue them.
On the other side, Somaliland traffic police have not yet officially revealed the names of those who died or wounded in the accident and the cause of the accident. But many people believed over-speeding and the deplorable condition of the roads were the main factors that increase the number of car accidents in the country.
On several occasions, Somaliland authorities promised that they will manage the growing number of accidents in the country and will hold drivers accountable.
