Waddani Party Chairman Asks the Government to consider the health of detained General Jamal Doolal

Abdirahman Irro, the Chairman of Somaliland’s main opposition party waddani has spoken about the recently detained General Jama Doolal. He urged the government not to ignore his case and must consider the health of the detained General.

The Chairman noted he had a brief meeting with some of the Family members of the detained General. He however did not state whether he supports or disapproves the General’s detention.

The chairman emphasized the role General Doolaal played in Somaliland’s peacebuilding in the past decades. Abdirahman Irro stated that the Public should accept the rule of law and advised the judiciary and legislative to make changes to the Laws that need to be amended.

General Jaama Doolaal was arrested last month for unknown reasons. The government of Somaliland has not yet formally commented on this case while the family and relatives of the General demanded for his immediate release citing his health conditions.
