The Secretary of Justice of the Wadani party Yonis Ahmed Yonis in a press conference talked about the current situation in Lasanod saying that it is due to the bad governance and poor leadership of the incumbent administration.
Wadani party complained of the government’s failure to unite the people for the good of their country. The official described as tragic that more than 10 people were killed and over 50 people injured during demonstrations.
Yonis Ahmed Yonis said that it is shameful and unfortunate that some of the residents in Las Anod are demanding reunification with Somalia after 30 years of independence. He however ruled out any future reunification with Somalia.
The opposition party called upon the president to announce a national committee to investigate the situation to identify the mastermind of the frequent assassinations in Las Anod.
