Waddani Spokesperson complains Somaliland gov’t for failure to ensure security of Sool region

Somaliland Lawmaker and the Spokesperson of Waddani party, Barkhad Jamac Batuun has condemned the assassinations in Lasanod and sent condolence to the families and the people of lasanod for the loss of their loved ones..

Barkhad Batuun said that It has become frequent to kill very important people in Lasanod in the last few years and the government does not react to the matter responsibly. He described it as “misfortune” for the country to have the largest troops in the region but failed to secure it.

He complained that Somaliland security agencies are capable of arresting civilians for posting anti government posts on their social media, yet, failed to ensure security of the people in Lasanod and prevent such organized crimes in the region.

Barkhad Jama Batuun also asked the locals to avoid harming and destroying business centers and control their anger. However, President Muse Bihi who spoke about the matter on Wednesday urged residents to restrain from violence & promised to tackle the organized killings in the region.
