Following a closed-door session between the committee and the Chairman of the Electoral Commission, reporters sought clarification on the nature of the meeting, to be made available to the public. However, Chairman Muse Hassan refrained from providing any details for reasons undisclosed.
In recent days, the House of Representatives Committee in Somaliland, entrusted with electoral matters, convened meetings involving political associations, civil society representatives, and the Supreme Court. These gatherings focused on deliberations pertaining to the upcoming presidential and political association elections.
