Somaliland’s National Electoral commission chairman dodges Repoters’s questions on meeting with house of representatives committee for elections

Muse Hassan Yusuf, the Chairman of Somaliland’s National Electoral Commission, has chosen not to disclose further information concerning his meeting with the House of Representatives committee responsible for electoral affairs.

Following a closed-door session between the committee and the Chairman of the Electoral Commission, reporters sought clarification on the nature of the meeting, to be made available to the public. However, Chairman Muse Hassan refrained from providing any details for reasons undisclosed.

In recent days, the House of Representatives Committee in Somaliland, entrusted with electoral matters, convened meetings involving political associations, civil society representatives, and the Supreme Court. These gatherings focused on deliberations pertaining to the upcoming presidential and political association elections.
