Song, a collaboration of a Local Artist and Ethiopian Artist, Under Fire

Berbera– Abdirahman Oday, a Somali singer shot and sung a song in Berbera’s, a port city, breathtaking beach in collaboration of An Ethiopian woman singer who happened to sing in Somali language according to the Youtube.com. The song received a mixed reaction from viewers and audiences for the allegation of the dress of the woman singer.

Yusuf Sha’ir commented it violated the local norms and values. the footage shows the girl wearing lingerie primarily for bedtime. The song started with modest dressing, heated up, and ended up in lingerie arousing the conservative society of Somalis according to the song critics. the fact being an Ethiopian woman didn’t deescalate the pouring of the outcry which in turn, promoted the song incredibly.
