The Governor of Togdheer region, Hamse Mohammed Abdi passed away in a hospital at the Turkish city of Istanbul. He was airlifted to turkey in yesterday and was pronounced dead few moments upon arrival in Turkey whereby he was due to undergo a medical treatment.
The governor was sick for the past three weeks in Somaliland and was flown to Turkey for overseas treatment
The late governor was suffering from a kidney disease according to his close relatives.
The late Hamza Mohamed Abdi served as the governor of Gabiley and Togdheer regions In Somaliland.
