LONDON (Alliance News) – RA International Group PLC said Friday it had secured a new multi-year USD9.8 million support services contract with the United Nations Support Office in Somalia.
Under the new deal, RA will provide vehicle and equipment fleet operation and first line maintenance services to UNSOS in up to ten locations in the eastern African state of Somalia.
The new contract is worth USD9.8 million across a five-year period and will start from June.
“We are proud to be part of UNSOS’s continued efforts in Somalia,” RA Chief Executive Officer Soraya Narfeldt said. “It’s encouraging to be awarded this contract as it not only demonstrates the trust our clients have in our capabilities to carry out critical projects in challenging conditions but reinforces the strength of our value-added services to support them during this period and beyond.”

RA builds and maintains camps in remote areas for staff working for the United Nations, oil & gas firms and other organisations across the globe.
In 2018, RA generated USD10.0 million pretax profit on revenue of USD54.8 million.
Shares in RA were 5.9% higher at 45.00 pence on Friday.
