Six Al-Shabaab members killed in Gedo

At least six Al-Shabaab members were killed yesterday around Bardhere district in Gedo region.

Security official of the Bardhere town told the reporters that they had launched an attack on Al-Shabaab positions after receiving information from locals.

Residents told Somalia National army after the militant has forced to pay high tax which leads operation and confrontation to the group where six militias have been killed there by the Somali military.

Reports say that militias burned two vehicles from the Somali National Army during the battle.

The Somali National Army has intensified its operations against al-Shabaab in support with the resident who lives the areas that Al-Shabaab hide in specifically Gedo region.
