Sool Police Arrest Suspects for Killing of CID Officer

Somaliland’s Sool regional Intelligence officer was shot dead in Lasanod, on Monday evening. 

Abdiqani Guhad was killed in front of his house in the evening.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Office, CID, was the chief investigator of the assassination of Sool Regional Court chairman.

The chief justice of Sool regional Hassan Sheikh was assassinated in Lasanood on March the second. 

The police have arrested suspects according to the regional police commander Colonel Ahmed Abdillahi Abdi and other city officials. 

President Muse Bihi today called the two assassinations in Lasanod a stealth war on Somaliland by ts enemies. He said that this dirty war shows the enemy’s fear of facing Somaliland in the open.

The president also drew parallels between the death of these officials and the assassination of SNM commanders Adan Shine, and Abdiqadir Kosar.

President Bihi made these remarks at the quarters of the 31st division of Somaliland army which is named after the day Adan Shine was killed. He called on the military to be vigilant and stay alert.
