The National Army takes control of al-Shabaab base in Middle Shabelle region

A military operation carried out by special units in the Somalia National Army resulted in the killing of two Al-Shabaab senior commanders and several others were wounded during the military operation in the outskirts of Bal’ad located in the Middle Shebelle region.

During the military operation, the national army officers claimed that they have destroyed a base controlled by al-shabaab militias in the area.

In addition, the locals told the media that the national army was currently present at the base which used to belong to the Al-shabaab militant group.

This military operation is part of the huge efforts made by Somalia’s national army to eliminate the terrorists and secure the roads between the cities of Balad and Jowhar.
